8 Declarative Sentence Examples
Use these examples to study structure, specificity, tone, and variation. They are demonstrations—not claims about a real person or organization unless the example itself makes that explicit.
What to notice in the examples
Effective declarative sentences make the main statement easy to identify, use a complete subject-predicate structure, and vary length or emphasis when several statements appear together.
- Use a subject that identifies who or what the statement concerns.
- Use a predicate that states what is true, happens, or is claimed.
- End with a period unless another punctuation choice is deliberately required.
