Well-formed predicates make the action or state easy to follow, keep essential complements close to the verb, and avoid burying the main point inside unnecessary modifiers.
- Identify the subject first.
- Everything in the clause that states what the subject does, is, has, or experiences belongs to the predicate.
- Distinguish the simple predicate, usually the main verb or verb phrase, from the complete predicate.

Keep the underlying decision or pattern, then replace the subject, evidence, relationship, constraints, and tone with details that belong to your situation. If your final line still works after swapping only one noun, it may be too close to the example.
