What to notice in the examples
A good reminder is brief, names the original item and relevant date, restates the needed action, and makes the next step easy while keeping tone proportional to urgency and history.
- Reference the original request, commitment, or deadline.
- State the current action needed.
- Include a link, attachment, or identifier so the recipient does not have to search.
- Escalate tone only when the timing and prior reminders justify it.
