8 Request Email Examples
Use these examples to study structure, specificity, tone, and variation. They are demonstrations—not claims about a real person or organization unless the example itself makes that explicit.
What to notice in the examples
An effective request email makes the action unmistakable, explains why it is needed without overexplaining, supplies relevant constraints or links, and uses a deadline only when there is a genuine timing dependency.
- Put the requested action in the opening lines.
- Explain the minimum necessary context.
- Specify scope, format, or deadline when those details affect the response.
- Make it easy to say yes, no, or propose an alternative.

Would you approve the attached copy before we schedule the campaign?

Please grant Maya view access to the September research folder; she does not need edit permissions.
Would you share the latest brand-guideline PDF? The copy team is updating the product pages this week.
Could we move our Tuesday check-in to Wednesday at the same time? I will be in the client workshop Tuesday morning.
