Creative Nonfiction Prompts Template 1
Character lens: Take prompt [#] and rewrite it from the viewpoint of the person with the least power.
Start with structure, then replace every placeholder with information that is true, relevant, and natural for your context. These templates are intentionally skeletal so your final writing does not sound mass-produced.
A strong creative-nonfiction prompt produces a specific scene or inquiry while reminding the writer that narrative craft does not permit invented facts, fabricated quotations, or unjustified certainty about other people’s private motives.
Character lens: Take prompt [#] and rewrite it from the viewpoint of the person with the least power.
