Protagonist Template 1
Protagonist core: [Name] wants [external goal] because [specific motivation], but [internal flaw/belief] makes [key action] difficult.
Start with structure, then replace every placeholder with information that is true, relevant, and natural for your context. These templates are intentionally skeletal so your final writing does not sound mass-produced.
A strong protagonist gives the story a clear center of consequence: readers understand what the character wants, what stands in the way, what choices are possible, what those choices cost, and why the outcome matters to this particular person.
