Reusable frameworks

4 Quantitative Research Templates

Start with structure, then replace every placeholder with information that is true, relevant, and natural for your context. These templates are intentionally skeletal so your final writing does not sound mass-produced.

How to personalize a template

Strong quantitative research defines variables before analysis, uses a design capable of supporting the intended inference, reports uncertainty and assumptions, distinguishes association from causation, and makes data-processing decisions reproducible.

  1. 1
Choose the template closest to your actual purpose.
  2. 2
Replace every bracketed field with specific information.
  3. 3
Delete any sentence that does not belong in your situation.
  4. 4
Read the result aloud for unnatural transitions or repeated phrasing.
  5. 5
Verify names, dates, links, facts, and promises before sending or publishing.
Quantitative Research Template 1
Analysis map: question → outcome → predictor/group → design → statistic/model → effect measure.
Quantitative Research Template 2
Result sentence: [estimate] with [uncertainty interval], comparing [groups/conditions], under [model/design].
Quantitative Research Template 3
Assumption log: assumption → diagnostic → result → action if violated.
Quantitative Research Template 4
Interpretation boundary: The design supports [association/difference/causal estimate] under [conditions], but cannot establish [unsupported claim].
