About these measurements
Door-swing checks and clearance overlays are simple 2D planning visualizations; they do not establish safe, compliant, or unobstructed movement.Snap guides are temporary editing aids for nearby room/object edges and centerlines. They are not saved, printed, or included in SVG exports. The Measure ruler reports direct distance plus horizontal and vertical deltas between two workspace points. Its separate Point snap control can latch ruler endpoints to nearby room/object corners or door/window endpoints; both the ruler and Point snap preference are session-only and are not saved or exported.X/Y fields use the workspace origin for precise room/object placement. Arrow-key nudges use 10 mm, or 100 mm with Shift, as editor increments only; doors and windows remain wall-positioned.Room area and perimeter are derived from entered room rectangles. The total uses the unique union of those rectangles, so overlaps are counted once; wall bands and legal floor-area definitions are excluded. When one room unambiguously contains a selected furniture or fixed-object footprint, the inspector can show direct top, right, bottom, and left edge gaps. Optional gap guides are temporary geometric aids only and are not saved or exported.Workspace navigation changes the view only. Geometry remains stored in millimetres; portable project files use the same geometry model.

Template notes

  • Desk footprints are 1.4 × 0.7 m.
  • The meeting table footprint is 2.4 × 1.1 m.
  • Check egress, accessibility, occupancy, and local workplace requirements separately.
Before using the layout

Measure the actual room, openings, fixed constraints, and furniture. Structure, clearances, construction details, and local requirements can make a visually similar room behave very differently.
