Summary Writing Template 1
[Author/source] argues that [main point], emphasizing [supporting idea 1] and [supporting idea 2].
Start with structure, then replace every placeholder with information that is true, relevant, and natural for your context. These templates are intentionally skeletal so your final writing does not sound mass-produced.
A strong summary is accurate, selective, coherent, written mostly in the summarizer's own language, clearly separated from evaluation, and proportionate to the original source rather than a sentence-by-sentence shortening.
[Author/source] argues that [main point], emphasizing [supporting idea 1] and [supporting idea 2].
The passage explains [main subject] by showing [key point], [key point], and [result/implication].
In brief, [event/process] begins with [essential starting point], develops through [key change], and ends with [important outcome].
Summary: [central claim]. The source supports this by focusing on [only the most necessary supporting points].
