Accurate analysis identifies the part-whole relationship that makes the substitution work and distinguishes synecdoche from broader metonymy, where the relation may be association without physical or categorical inclusion.

Identification: “[part]” represents [whole], so the phrase uses synecdoche.
Synecdoche Template 2
Whole-for-part: “[whole]” refers specifically to [included part/group] in this context.

Contrast: Unlike metonymy, the relationship here is part-to-whole because [explanation].

Effect: Focusing on [part] emphasizes [labor/body/objective/etc.] rather than the full entity.
