Text Structure Template 1
To explain a process, organize the section as [stage 1] → [stage 2] → [stage 3].
Start with structure, then replace every placeholder with information that is true, relevant, and natural for your context. These templates are intentionally skeletal so your final writing does not sound mass-produced.
Recognizing structure helps readers predict what information will come next, while choosing structure deliberately helps writers match organization to purpose rather than forcing every topic into the same five-paragraph pattern.
To explain a process, organize the section as [stage 1] → [stage 2] → [stage 3].
To compare options, use the same criteria for [option A] and [option B] before drawing a conclusion.
To explain causation, separate contributing factors from downstream effects.
To solve a problem, define the gap, evaluate constraints, compare responses, and recommend one next step.
