Use these examples to study structure, specificity, tone, and variation. They are demonstrations—not claims about a real person or organization unless the example itself makes that explicit.

What to notice in the examples
An effective frame changes how the inner story is interpreted: it can create distance, uncertainty, commentary, contrast, chronology, or questions about who controls the telling, rather than existing as an unnecessary opening and closing wrapper.
- An outer narrative situation or storyteller.
- One or more embedded stories.
- A reason the inner story is being told, read, remembered, recorded, or discovered.
- A meaningful relationship between the frame and the embedded narrative.

A traveler tells companions the story of a failed expedition during one night at an inn, and interruptions reveal that his audience doubts parts of the account.

A novel opens with a trial transcript, then reconstructs the events that produced it before returning to the verdict.

An adult narrator records childhood events for a daughter who has asked why the family left their hometown, making the act of explanation part of the story.

Keep the underlying decision or pattern, then replace the subject, evidence, relationship, constraints, and tone with details that belong to your situation. If your final line still works after swapping only one noun, it may be too close to the example.
