How to compare

Check the terms that can change the decision.

Category membership alone does not make products interchangeable. Recheck the bank's current controlling agreement, tariff or effective-rate table before acting.

01

Zero-balance basis

Identify whether the product is a full-KYC statutory BSBDA, a relaxed-KYC Small Account, PMJDY/basic proposition or a commercial zero-balance savings plan.

02

Opening funding is separate

No ongoing minimum balance does not mean no cash is required at opening: some commercial zero-balance accounts require initial funding and a separate debit-card fee.

03

Small Account caps

Relaxed-KYC Small Accounts can impose hard ceilings on balance, annual credits and monthly withdrawals/transfers until full KYC is completed.

04

Withdrawal rules

BSBDA withdrawal-count rules are account-level controls and can differ by bank/channel even when the debit card itself has a higher technical daily limit.

05

Debit-card treatment

Check whether the card is free, paid, optional or merely recommended and which exact variant the bank names.

06

Ownership restrictions

Statutory BSBDA can restrict other BSBD/savings relationships; commercial zero-balance accounts follow different ownership and onboarding rules.
