IDFC FIRST BankIDFC FIRST Bank Transfers — NEFT, RTGS & IMPS

IDFC FIRST customers who want a clearly documented Internet Banking transfer state with an explicit customer-set overall limit and new-beneficiary controls.

Cost / pricing
The reviewed Internet Banking limit sheet says Transfers & Payments are free, and IDFC FIRST markets its mainstream savings accounts with zero charges on IMPS, NEFT and RTGS. Some separate product schedules can still carry product-specific pricing, so the exact account tariff remains controlling.

IndusInd BankIndusInd Bank Transfers — NEFT, RTGS & IMPS

IndusInd customers who use both mobile and Internet Banking and need device-registration cooling, customer-set app limits and rail/channel limits kept separate.

Cost / pricing
Transfer pricing depends on the linked IndusInd account proposition. Current savings schedules can waive NEFT/RTGS and, for some variants, IMPS, so no universal bankwide charge is inferred from one product schedule.

Decision checkpoints

Answer the questions that can actually change the choice.

Each checkpoint reproduces the recorded product fields instead of assigning a winner. Read the condition, scope and missing-data state before treating a difference as useful to you.

01Which transfer rail fits your payment?Read NEFT, RTGS and IMPS separately, with their bank and channel qualifications intact.

IDFC FIRST Bank Transfers — NEFT, RTGS & IMPS

NEFT
Internet Banking minimum Re.1, maximum ₹20 lakh under the current limit sheet, further constrained by individual-beneficiary and overall customer-set limits.
RTGS
Internet Banking minimum ₹2 lakh, maximum ₹20 lakh, further constrained by applicable beneficiary/overall limits.
IMPS
Internet Banking minimum Re.1 and maximum ₹2 lakh per transaction; the overall transfer ceiling is ₹20 lakh or a lower customer-set overall limit.

IndusInd Bank Transfers — NEFT, RTGS & IMPS

NEFT
INDIE supports NEFT within the current ₹10 lakh cumulative daily mobile fund-transfer limit. The reviewed mobile page says method-specific limits can vary; v1.39 does not invent a separate NEFT ceiling where current first-party evidence is not explicit.
RTGS
Minimum ₹2 lakh. IndusNet publishes ₹10 lakh for individual customers and ₹25 lakh for non-individual customers; IndusDirect standard permitted cumulative/per-transaction limit is ₹25 lakh. INDIE remains subject to its separate mobile cumulative limit.
IMPS
INDIE supports instant IMPS within the app's cumulative daily transfer control and applicable IMPS rail limit. The current mobile page says method-specific limits can vary rather than publishing one stable universal bank maximum.
02Is the beneficiary ready for the required amount?Check beneficiary activation and temporary cooling conditions before relying on a transfer ceiling.

IDFC FIRST Bank Transfers — NEFT, RTGS & IMPS

Beneficiary controls
Maximum 5 beneficiary additions in a 24-hour calendar day. New beneficiary: no transfer for 30 minutes; up to ₹2 lakh during the first 24 hours; after 24 hours the individual-beneficiary/₹20 lakh/overall-customer limit applies.
Security cooling
The new-beneficiary state is two-stage: 30-minute hard cooling followed by a first-24-hour ₹2 lakh cap. One-time transfer without beneficiary is a separate ₹25,000 path.

IndusInd Bank Transfers — NEFT, RTGS & IMPS

Beneficiary controls
IndusMobile FAQ permits up to 5 beneficiary additions/day for Current Accounts and 3/day for Savings Accounts across IndusNet/IndusMobile. The reviewed retail sources do not establish one universal new-beneficiary cooling duration.
Security cooling
Current INDIE: first registration/device re-registration sets ₹2 lakh for 24h; limit increase uses OTP + 4h cooling with old limit active. Separate IndusMobile FAQ instead states ₹10,000 for 24h after new-user/device/phone registration; conflict retained.
03What charges and failure handling apply?Keep channel charges and the recorded reversal or recovery route attached to the transfer.

IDFC FIRST Bank Transfers — NEFT, RTGS & IMPS

Charges
The Internet Banking limit sheet says Transfers & Payments carry no customer charge; mainstream IDFC FIRST savings pages also advertise zero charges on IMPS/NEFT/RTGS. Product-specific schedules should still be checked for non-mainstream account variants.
Failure / reversal
Use Internet Banking transaction status and IDFC FIRST support for pending/failed transfers. A 24x7 rail does not guarantee immediate beneficiary credit in every exception state.

IndusInd Bank Transfers — NEFT, RTGS & IMPS

Charges
Account-specific. Reviewed Indus Online Savings schedules state no charge on NEFT/RTGS across channels for those variants and show product-level fee treatment; other account propositions can differ.
Failure / reversal
IndusMobile says transfer failure can result from beneficiary details or receiving-bank availability; its terms state rejected payments are processed for re-credit within five working days. Check status/support before retrying.

Mobile and Internet Banking limits are independent of the underlying account's balance or programme eligibility.
NEFT / RTGS / IMPS coverageThe current Internet Banking framework supports saved beneficiaries, one-time transfer without beneficiary, NEFT, RTGS and IMPS while letting the customer set a lower overall transfer/payment limit.INDIE mobile supports IMPS, NEFT and RTGS with a customer-manageable overall fund-transfer ceiling, while IndusNet and IndusDirect provide separate Internet/corporate transfer limits.
Rail / channel limitsInternet Banking: NEFT Re.1–₹20 lakh; RTGS ₹2–₹20 lakh; IMPS Re.1–₹2 lakh per transaction with ₹20 lakh overall transfer limit. Transfers/payments are capped at ₹20 lakh or the lower overall customer-set Limit Management value.Current INDIE mobile page publishes a ₹10 lakh cumulative daily fund-transfer limit, adjustable down/up to that maximum. Rail / beneficiary relationshipFor an existing beneficiary the applicable amount is the individual-beneficiary limit, ₹20 lakh bank ceiling or the customer's overall Limit Management value, whichever constrains the transaction.Mobile cumulative limits, rail-specific rules and Internet/corporate ceilings must be matched to the actual channel. A ₹25 lakh corporate RTGS limit is not a retail app limit.

IDFC FIRST Bank

IDFC FIRST Bank Transfers — NEFT, RTGS & IMPS

  • A newly added beneficiary cannot receive a transfer for 30 minutes and is limited to ₹2 lakh during the first 24 hours after addition.
  • One-time transfer without adding a beneficiary is separately capped at ₹25,000.
  • IDFC FIRST's zero-fee savings marketing does not override a different fee schedule attached to another account class; account-specific tariffs remain controlling.
IndusInd Bank

IndusInd Bank Transfers — NEFT, RTGS & IMPS

  • IndusInd has a live first-party conflict for the first 24 hours after initial app registration or device/number change: the current INDIE page says ₹2 lakh, while the IndusMobile FAQ says ₹10,000. v1.39 exposes both instead of choosing one silently.
  • Increasing the current INDIE app transfer limit requires OTP and a four-hour cooling period during which the old limit continues to apply; reducing the limit has no such wait.
  • IndusInd's account-specific fee schedules can waive transfers, but those waivers are not generalized to every account class.
