IndusInd Bank Transfers — NEFT, RTGS & IMPS

IndusInd's transfer profile separates the current INDIE mobile ₹10 lakh cumulative fund-transfer control from IndusNet/IndusDirect RTGS limits and preserves a live conflict in the bank's first-24-hour mobile security disclosures.

First-party evidencePublished researchReviewed September 10, 2026Active
Eligible account / channelRequires an eligible IndusInd account and channel transaction rights with sufficient available funds. Mobile and Internet Banking limits are independent of the underlying account's balance or programme eligibility.
Rail / channel limitsCurrent INDIE mobile page publishes a ₹10 lakh cumulative daily fund-transfer limit, adjustable down/up to that maximum. IndusInd's RTGS page separately lists ₹10 lakh for individual IndusNet customers, ₹25 lakh for non-individual IndusNet and ₹25 lakh standard cumulative/per transaction for IndusDirect.
Transfer / channel chargesTransfer pricing depends on the linked IndusInd account proposition. Current savings schedules can waive NEFT/RTGS and, for some variants, IMPS, so no universal bankwide charge is inferred from one product schedule.
Rail / beneficiary relationshipMobile cumulative limits, rail-specific rules and Internet/corporate ceilings must be matched to the actual channel. A ₹25 lakh corporate RTGS limit is not a retail app limit.

Critical decision facts

Channel scope and security state determine what the published limit really means.

Rail, channel, beneficiary, cooling, authentication and recovery rules stay separate instead of being compressed into one generic digital-banking number.

Exact product-type evidence

Bank transfer service evidence stays in its own structure.

Specialist fields below remain source-scoped. Missing values stay missing; one banking product type is never used to manufacture facts for another.

Bank-transfer rail map

NEFT, RTGS and IMPS share a beneficiary journey, not one universal limit.

System mechanics are kept separate from bank, channel, account, beneficiary and temporary security limits. Reviewed September 10, 2026.

Channels / scopeINDIE/IndusMobile for retail mobile transfers; IndusNet for retail Internet Banking; IndusDirect for corporate Internet Banking; RTGS is also available at branch.
AuthenticationCurrent INDIE limit increases require OTP and then a four-hour security cooling period. Mobile/Internet transfers otherwise use the channel's authenticated transaction controls.
NEFTINDIE supports NEFT within the current ₹10 lakh cumulative daily mobile fund-transfer limit. The reviewed mobile page says method-specific limits can vary; v1.39 does not invent a separate NEFT ceiling where current first-party evidence is not explicit.
RTGSMinimum ₹2 lakh. IndusNet publishes ₹10 lakh for individual customers and ₹25 lakh for non-individual customers; IndusDirect standard permitted cumulative/per-transaction limit is ₹25 lakh. INDIE remains subject to its separate mobile cumulative limit.
IMPSINDIE supports instant IMPS within the app's cumulative daily transfer control and applicable IMPS rail limit. The current mobile page says method-specific limits can vary rather than publishing one stable universal bank maximum.
Beneficiary controlsIndusMobile FAQ permits up to 5 beneficiary additions/day for Current Accounts and 3/day for Savings Accounts across IndusNet/IndusMobile. The reviewed retail sources do not establish one universal new-beneficiary cooling duration.
Cooling / first-use stateCurrent INDIE: first registration/device re-registration sets ₹2 lakh for 24h; limit increase uses OTP + 4h cooling with old limit active. Separate IndusMobile FAQ instead states ₹10,000 for 24h after new-user/device/phone registration; conflict retained.
Charges / waiver scopeAccount-specific. Reviewed Indus Online Savings schedules state no charge on NEFT/RTGS across channels for those variants and show product-level fee treatment; other account propositions can differ.
Availability / settlementRTGS is published 24x7 through branch/IndusNet/IndusDirect subject to channel availability. IMPS is immediate; NEFT follows RBI batch settlement while the relevant IndusInd digital channel remains available.
Failure / return / reversalIndusMobile says transfer failure can result from beneficiary details or receiving-bank availability; its terms state rejected payments are processed for re-credit within five working days. Check status/support before retrying.

Fit & cautions

Who this record appears designed for—and what can break the fit.

Best-fit wording summarizes the published proposition. It is not individualized financial advice or an approval prediction.

Potential fit

IndusInd customers who use both mobile and Internet Banking and need device-registration cooling, customer-set app limits and rail/channel limits kept separate.

Verify before relying
  • IndusInd has a live first-party conflict for the first 24 hours after initial app registration or device/number change: the current INDIE page says ₹2 lakh, while the IndusMobile FAQ says ₹10,000. v1.39 exposes both instead of choosing one silently.
  • Increasing the current INDIE app transfer limit requires OTP and a four-hour cooling period during which the old limit continues to apply; reducing the limit has no such wait.
  • IndusInd's account-specific fee schedules can waive transfers, but those waivers are not generalized to every account class.
Maintained comparisons

Compare this product only where the pair is deliberately maintained.

Both sides keep independent review dates, exact conditions and first-party evidence. No winner score is generated.

First-party source ledger

Complete evidence set for this maintained profile.

Each source remains independent. A product page, tariff, KFS/MITC, rate schedule or programme document is not silently treated as interchangeable evidence.

Current-use rule

When the bank changes a term after the recorded review, the current agreement, tariff, KFS/MITC or effective rate table controls.
