HDFC Bank UPI — HDFC Bank App
HDFC Bank’s UPI implementation with explicit new-user/device/SIM cooling, app-level send-money limits, separate higher-value use cases and a bank-specific RuPay-credit-card-on-UPI linking limit.
Structured from first-party bank/issuer evidence. This page does not claim personal hands-on product use unless that experience is explicitly stated.
Recorded source review date, not a claim that the product changed that day.
Target recheck: November 24, 2026.
Channel scope and security state determine what the published limit really means.
Rail, channel, beneficiary, cooling, authentication and recovery rules stay separate instead of being compressed into one generic digital-banking number.
UPI payment service evidence stays in its own structure.
Specialist fields below remain source-scoped. Missing values stay missing; one banking product type is never used to manufacture facts for another.
Separate the funding source, steady-state limit and temporary security state.
UPI is not represented by one universal ₹1 lakh number. Bank/app risk controls, device cooling, Lite, card-funded merchant UPI and mandate rules are kept in their own fields. Reviewed September 10, 2026.
Fees, balances, benefits, limits and eligibility without a single-score shortcut.
These six fields are the cross-product layer. The specialist section above controls whenever a type-specific field is more precise.
Who this record appears designed for—and what can break the fit.
Best-fit wording summarizes the published proposition. It is not individualized financial advice or an approval prediction.
HDFC Bank customers who use the HDFC Bank App for UPI and want the difference between ordinary send-money limits, new-device restrictions, incoming-P2P controls and RuPay credit-card merchant payments made explicit.
- New users or users changing device, SIM or mobile number are currently limited to ₹5,000 for the first 24 hours on Android and 72 hours on iOS.
- HDFC first-party pages disagree on transaction count scope: the App FAQ says 10 Send Money/P2P transactions while the general limit page says 20 P2P/P2M transactions. Both are retained with their scope.
- A HDFC PayZapp article still displays older ₹500/₹2,000 UPI Lite figures; the current RBI/NPCI framework is ₹1,000 per transaction and ₹5,000 stored balance, so the stale article is not treated as controlling.

Both sides keep independent review dates, exact conditions and first-party evidence. No winner score is generated.
Complete evidence set for this maintained profile.
Each source remains independent. A product page, tariff, KFS/MITC, rate schedule or programme document is not silently treated as interchangeable evidence.
When the bank changes a term after the recorded review, the current agreement, tariff, KFS/MITC or effective rate table controls.
This page organizes dated public evidence; it does not guarantee eligibility, availability, approval, service quality or future pricing.
